A useful assessment starts with the correct roof and considers where panels can go, which way they face and the shade around them. VERA works with the available property data so you don’t have to supply those measurements yourself. If the data is unclear, we may ask you to confirm your home or its outline.
For an arithmetic example, ten 450-watt panels add up to 4.5 kWp of rated capacity. That does not mean they will generate 4,500 kWh every year. The roof, layout and conditions determine the generation estimate; when you use that electricity and your tariff determine its financial value. This is a generic explanation, not a real-home assessment.
Remote data can be incomplete or out of date, and weather varies. Treat the assessment as a useful starting point for your quote, with a site survey to confirm the final design. We explain the inputs and limitations in VERA’s assessment approach.
A battery is a separate cost and sizing decision. Compare solar with and without storage, and ask how the proposal reflects your household’s electricity use. Read our guide to solar panels and battery costs before comparing packages.

The calculator gives you an assessment of your home’s solar potential. VERA will be in touch about your quote; a firm installation price depends on the equipment, work required and any survey findings.
Your enquiry stays with VERA. We don’t automatically pass your contact details to several installers. You choose whether to ask our team for recommendations or share your design with your own installer.
Data quality and coverage vary. If VERA needs clarification or cannot provide a reliable assessment, we’ll explain that rather than promise a result for every property.
